I wasn't the cure;
I was the disease.
I left you begging
On your knees.
I was the flame that
Burned you to ashes,
Now the time we spent
Comes and goes in flashes.
I was the promise
You couldn't keep,
And became the memory
That makes you weep.
I wasn't the flight;
I was the fall.
But losing me hurt you
Worst of all.
