This past weekend, I happened to be in the kitchen while my father was resetting all of the clocks for daylight savings time. As I watched him, I noticed how many clocks were in my house. I realized that from any point you stood in my house, a clock could be seen. What this showed me is that although time itself was always there, no- beckoning, screaming for me to notice its presence, I had been completely oblivious to the fact that it was slipping away. And now, as I lose an hour out of my day (that I will take back from the world someday, even if it kills me) I feel as though I am losing something more.
