Just A Typical Day
I stretched my legs as I began to rise
The amount of hours I can sleep many would despise
What a lovely 16 hours of sleep that had been
My sloth ways would be considered by most a sin
I stretched my toes and licked my paws
Making sure not to release my claws
My ears perked up at the smell of a meal
Causing me to get up quickly and let out a tiny squeal
“Tuna time, tuna time” played over in my head
Towards the food, I then fled
I licked my lips and my pupils began to expand
As I looked at the bowl of Purina, my favorite food brand
I chewed and I chewed, what seemed to be so little
Until I was completely done and my mouth was still very full of spittle
I let out another yawn, that had been such a toil
I had to make sure to eat all of my food so the taste wouldn’t spoil
I suppose it’s time for yet another cat nap
This means that I need to go find my owner’s lap
