It's A Done Deal
Sitting by the phone,
I wonder about the unknown.
Will he finally ask me today?
Or will the day end again with dismay?
You say we are heading in the same direction
And slowly growing is our affection.
Please tell me the deal,
Because this is seems too good to be real.
Finally, the day has come where he tells me how he feels.
Truth is, for me, all this time waiting for him has given me the strength to heal.
I’ve come to realize I don’t need to pine over him anymore.
I’m walking with my head held high right out the door.
I am never going to look back,
But everyone knows there’s no guaranteeing that.
Again, I am here waiting by the phone.
This time, I’m not waiting for something more.
This is definitely the end of us.
There is nothing left to discuss.
