In The End
Silently, she screams
Fear has taken control
Her tears fall in streams
God, why did he have to get parole?
His fist fell heavily, like lead
Oh, so her bruises could attest.
Consciousness dangling by a thin thread
This was just a one-sided slugfest
She didn’t deserve this
His hate was deranged.
He tried to seal an apology in a kiss
Yet she pulled away, her opinion unchanged.
The tile now splattered with violence and red
Her wheezing breath was now suppressed
A wonderful numbness began to spread
All she wanted to do was rest.
The stress had taken its toll
Ah…there flew her dreams
Darkness engulfed her, black as coal
Death wasn't as satisfying as it seemed.
