Surface
You took my hand
and pulled me through
I had broken
shattered to pieces
and I didn't have any glue.
You hand was soft
smooth and warm
It comforted some of me.
You see my feet were
torn, my heart was broken
with no road home.
I slide beneath the water
engulfing till I could take no more
my eyes were ready to close
I didn't know
That you were always above
waiting for me to surface.
And now I wait to recover.
It's going to take some time.
It's nice to know your patient.
You see, my wounds are healing
I'm slowley kneeling to that white
surrender.
You took your life
one sharp knife
and left me behind to quiver.
I slide beneath the water
engulfing till I could take no more
my eyes finally closed.
You took my hand...
Forever.
