Childhood Memory
I couldn’t sleep at all that night
Never have I seen the sight of sand;
All I could think about was the flight:
Soon feeling the sun tan lotion in my hand.
People welcomed us with open arms
Everything was peaceful and serene,
This place had a pleasant charm
Palm trees, clear water, I loved the scene.
The taste of pineapples were so sweet
The water was so clear and warm;
The sound of the Hula dancers had a nice beat
I was hoping that there would not be a storm.
I got to meet my family for the first time
Everyone was so joyful and nice,
We relaxed by the pool drinking sprite with the limes
Ending with the adults going to the casino and rolling dice.
