Pool Memory
Weekdays playing at the pool
The clear blue water being ice cold;
Kids come feeling so cool:
With these people I feel so old.
My teeth were chattering
So Shelby offered me a towel;
Her gesture very flattering:
I felt so cold it made me howl.
Think of it as a gray cloudy day
Those chills unable to tame;
We saw the reporter and he said hey
He caught us right in the middle of a game.
We put on big smiles;
Showing him our races,
Those memories lasted us awhile
No one would ever forget our faces.
