So Much We Could Give
So Much We Could Give
This is the world in which we live.
So much to give, oh so much we could give.
There’s a little boy starving in a country far away,
A television commercial says all he’s able to say.
There’s a man on the street begging to get by,
And the people believe that his truth is a lie.
This is the world in which we live,
So much to give, oh so much we could give.
But will anyone live the life the Book tells us to live?
Single mother in the suburbs with three kids and a dog,
Giving all she’s got to just end up in a fog.
The business man with the Rolex and Mercedes,
Giving nothing to the needy, looking tough for the ladies.
This is the world in which we live,
So much to give, oh so much we could give.
I give my word that tonight I’ll live the life He’s told me to live.
