Thank You
Being a daughter is no easy thing.
Being a daughter comes with responsibilities.
Being a daughter is filled with hardships.
But being a daughter can be made easy,
with the help of your mother.
Your mother’s the one who can make you laugh at anything.
Your mother’s the one who can spread that smile on your face.
Your mother’s the one who can make any fear disappear.
Your mother’s the one who can make the impossible become wholly probable.
Your mother’s the one who can take a challenge and make it seem simple.
Your mother’s the one who can make any dish sparkle like new.
Your mother’s the one who can do a mountain of laundry in seconds.
Your mother’s the one who can throw anything together to create a great dinner.
Your mother’s the one who can manage to run errands in record time.
And your mother’s the one who truly loves you.
But your mother’s also the one who never gets a thank you,
the one who never complains.
Your mother’s the one who never rests,
the one that always manages to keep going on.
Your mother’s the one who works day and night,
the one that gives up her little time just for you.
Your mother’s the reason your alive,
the reason you are who you've become today.
But have you ever stopped to think,
about all the things she’s done?
Have you ever told your mom a thank you,
said an extra “I love you?”
Even when you don’t,
your mom still hears it,
unspoken in your heart.
Now since I’ve never taken the time,
the time I easily have,
I’ll say it now.
I love you mom.
I love you and thank you so much.
