Why I'm Banned From the Lab
I wanted to do something big,
I wanted to do something bad.
So I crept down the corridor
And into the Chemistry Lab.
I opened the door, slunk in,
Closed it and turned the key.
Now the only one in the lab,
Was the one and only ME!
I took a shiny glass beaker
And added some I-ODINE.
I really should have known
What that nonsense
Was supposed to mean.
I dropped a tiny piece of glass
Into the beaker too.
Then I added a strange liquid
That smelled funny and was blue.
I flung open to acids cupboard
To see what would delight me.
I grabbed a bottle of ethanol
‘Cause everything else was under lock and key.
I dropped it into the beaker
And saw something called ‘H2O’.
And as I dropped it in,
Everything went real slow.
A drop of liquid fell into the beaker
And I slammed on a lid.
What I saw happening inside,
Made me regret what I did.
Don’t ask me what reacted,
I won’t, can’t tell you how.
But I’ll reveal a little something,
I’m BANNED from the Chemistry Lab.
