My Cage
Bitter heart meets bitter skies
raindrops falling
all words lies
it's too much to ask for people to see
the pain I feel when I'm not free.
My personal hell would be a cage
can't spread my wings
feel only rage
I won't be controlled again
from pain my heart I now defend
Sadness falls like liquid fire
hopeless, thoughtless
dead and dire
I only show my hidden rage
when I'm locked inside my cage.
