Natures Secrets
While I am sitting covered in sunlight,
I watch the way the currents of the stream
Wash away our wildest dreams.
Any satisfaction swept away by the breeze
Our lies caught and tangled in the trees.
Only my head stays afloat in the clouds.
Time passes by, as do the clouds.
I still sit, alone in the sunlight.
Shadows are hung, the evils of trees.
Cold water freezes, a winters’ stream.
The leaves have fallen, and blown through the breeze,
Summer and warmth taken with our dreams.
Flying away with mysterious dreams,
Birds wander free amongst the highest clouds.
Tears cried linger gracefully in the breeze,
Happiness is highlighted by the sunlight.
Ice melts, and the currents of the stream
Are back again, along with the leaves of trees.
Ten years to date, I walk by the same trees,
While thoughts have changed, I have the same dreams.
Different fish in that very same stream,
Time changes with the movement of clouds.
Shinning the same, the everlasting sunlight
Years of memories whisper in the breeze.
My hair blows through the never-ending breeze,
Thinking how life is similar to trees.
Branches of our past shatter the sunlight.
The only thing left to do is dream,
As we rest on our hopes and saddle the clouds,
Waiting for the day to stand up to the stream.
The shallowest of us wade deep in the stream,
As the rest of us our blown by the breeze.
Time goes on by, as do the clouds.
One last time the leaves leave the trees.
With nothing left to do but dream,
I stand alone, soaking in the sunlight.
Now the sunlight shines only on the stream,
Dreams dreamt now merely whisper in the breeze.
Trees no longer there, there’s nothing but the clouds.
