Love For You
Sitting in a dark room crying,
Right now I feel like dying.
Wanting to look up in the sky,
To ask the Lord Jesus why.
Rocking back and forth,
Wishing someone could hit me with a cork.
So many things going through my mind,
I feel like I’m running out of time
So many things I want to say,
But now it’s too late.
Hearing that tragic news,
Is like wearing some Bo’ Bo’ shoes
Not knowing what to do,
But basically not trying to lose my cool.
Why did you have to leave me so soon?
That right there wasn’t really cool.
Had so many plans,
But then I had to change those plans.
Wanted you to see me turn sixteen,
But, never even made it past twelve.
Wanted you to see me graduate,
I guess fate had it in another way.
Wanted you to be at my wedding,
Now, that’s one thing I’m dreading.
My heart,
You’re only one who makes it start
My soul
You’re the one that makes me whole
Cassandra Faye Lewis
I’ll always love you to the fullest.
You’re my mother,
There’s never going to be another
Even though you might be gone,
My love for you will still go on.
