My Words To You
You made me laugh, Jeannie.
But now I'm always crying.
I thought you would never leave, Jeannie.
Why did you have to die?
I know you weren't perfect, Jeannie.
You know that right?
Cancer really hurt you, Jeannie.
You put up a great fight.
I watched you tear you apart, Jeannie.
No one thought it could happen to you.
You were so strong, Jeannie.
There were things still to do.
Why did it take you away, Jeannie.
It put you through so much pain.
Yes, you make mistakes, Jeannie.
Now I'm walking in the rain.
I really really miss you, Jeannie.
Why can't you come back?
You were so wonderful, Jeannie.
Why couldn't God cut you some slack.
I just want to say I love you, Jeannie.
So now I'm always crying.
I hope you can hear me, Jeannie.
My tears start drying.
A smile comes to my face.
A little giggle out of my mouth.
I think about those silly
You-had-to-be-there moments.
Are you listening, God.
My words are loud and clear.
I just want my aunt back, God.
You take care of her.
Tell her I love her, God.
Make sure she knows.
I just want to say
I really really miss you, Jeannie.
These are my words to you.
