The Color of Darkness
The sky is grey
Not light, not dark,
But awaiting a decision
To what the new day will bring our way.
There are no clouds to pour the rain
There is no sun to warm the day.
Some say it’s grey as night,
But this isn’t a thing like twilight.
This is the grey of dawn without a sun
A lack of color to put still the time
So let’s go somewhere far away
Somewhere the sky is never grey.
Where every day is full frontal color
And the night seems to sparkle
Almost as bright as the day.
And then time will start to fly
Because color paints into the sky
