Its night
But I’m not sleeping
Because I’m missing you
I sit here by my window
Feeling the cold air come in
I let it soak into my skin
And seep into my broken heart
As I look out at the sky above
Each star is a memory
We had so many
Each time you sweetly said my name
Every time you held me close
And kept me balanced
I keep them like a drug
The stars twinkle brightly
Like your eyes
The sky is dark like your hair
The air is icy
Just like your soul
You left me with the thought
Maybe I would be better
