A Wish Come True
We stand there, you behind me, while the moon begins to rise.
My heart hurts and cries.
I look up at the stars, in a place with no cars.
Something shoots across the sky.
I make a wish.
I look at you with such a smile; we stand there and stare for a while.
You take a step closer.
You grab my face, with the gentle brace of your hand.
You lean in as do I, and our lips begin to tell secrets.
My heart skips a beat.
When the finish we look and giggle and I slowly say to you “I got my wish”
