A Glance at Death
The glance of Red
Could that be my blood?
From when we wrecked
On that beautiful day.
A glance at death
It took my breath away
I wish I hadn’t passed out
But I couldn’t take the pain
I got shook up from me
Hitting the door,
The car swerved left then right,
Then the driver
Slammed on brakes
And it quickly turned
Night.
Next thing I know
I’m in a truck, car ,
Or should I say vehicle
With sirens, my heart then was
Corrupted but it could be repaired
By a single touch
Of love
Even thou I thought
I was dead.
