This Night, Today
This night, today,
We can confess, it's okay.
Let our tears leek,
For the words we thought we couldn't speak.
For, those feelings we can't let go,
Confess for each other to know.
We thought we were all alone,
unaware of the other in our home.
Saying words that no one can say,
This night, today.
Telling our voyage of the dark side,
All the times we cried and lied.
Explaining how no one else knows,
thinking that's just how life goes.
Cursing the monsters inside of ourselves,
Dying as virgins, still burning in hell.
Wondering if we will be loved by another in any way,
This night, today.
Telling the times we could've died in bed,
Stating what was in our heads.
Thinking back to when it went wrong,
Singing the lyrics to our special song.
Listening to thunder, the rain fall,
How we feel forever and all.
Telling eachother to never let go and just hold on,
banish the pain,
for we both do the same.
Despite all our hurt and dismay,
we can talk,
This night, today,
tell it all,
it's okay.
