Windows to the soul

Beauty is what consumed his eyes
specks of green and blue at times.
Blue with light consuming, like the skies,
like the view on a mountain after a climb.
But these eyes were nothing but a disguise
they were rolled in piles of grime.
A person that would push you down when you tried to rise,
Like the taste of a bitter sweet lime.
