In the Perfect Image of You and Moonlight
There was me, holding still. Cup in one hand, my mind thrilled. Whatever passes tonight, it is set [in stone] and true, I never felt reality more obvious than this.
Steam rose and I like it, the coffee blending into the nightly season. I woke up and knew life, life as real and not explained. Clouds pass off with the Northern chills. I look up and I'm empty and filled. The strings of light filtered through my soul- the hollowed wind swept my heart clean and cold.
I will pick you up and kiss you more than briefly. Be my Love and Only One. To hold you in the perfect image of you and moonlight.
To secure you again with a kiss.
To be you with some fear.
To be safe with “I love you.”
