Not There
As you walk by without a smile, a nod;
I see your eyes,
They tell a story;
Your story,
Without a glimpse you are gone
In a heartbeat;
I feel numb,
‘cause I’m running after something
That is not there,
And I’m chasing a dream that won’t
Ever come true,
‘cause in my heart I know
Your not there;
When I awake and see the dawning sun;
I think of you and your eyes,
The eyes that stole my heart,
But everyone is saying your just a lie,
You’re a joke, and to just pretend your not there,
But, how can I if I see you
And watch you disappear each day,
But as I watch you turn away
And I chase after into
A sea of people, I lose you;
And wonder why your
Not there.
