Bedtime stories
Do you still remember the bedtime stories
That where ages ago once told?
Tales of champions in all their glories
Legends of heroes, brave and bold.
It was a world where dreams where reality.
My world, where magic was a logic.
And with childlike wonder, all made sense you see.
Now I look back feeling quite nostalgic.
Monsters may have come
But would always be defeated
When a noble knight would rise
And all evil retreated.
There would be a fight
But our hero would never fall.
Love came at first sight
And true love's kiss conquered all.
How I long for such a world to exist.
A world where endings perfectly unfold.
But at least in troubling times I know I can always do this:
Just remember - no believe - the bedtime stories once told.
