Captured
In the dead of night,
stands a lost soul,
She begs and cries for a friend whom
she can call her own,
darkened shadows of fey,
dance around her and sing their
captiviting songs;
the dead, pale moon shines bright in the sky,
the violet horizon;
captures her interest at once;
the pale moon, it floats in the air like
a lily in a pond,
Her heart it beats;
solid beats as dawn breaks,
The red-orange sun engulfs the sky,
traps her in their world,
unable to brake free of their bonds;
She stays chained by the sun's rays
and forever but tormented by pain;
taunted by their mocking voices,
she lies awake; waiting in fear
for what was to happen;
Her voice frail; from the screams
she shouted as she fought,
but now she will remain
captured.
