An Ode To Gym Class
You make me feel like no class ever has before,
You evoke emotions
I didn't even know I was capable of having,
I spend every minute we're apart
Thinking of when out paths will cross again,
You occupy a huge part of my mind
And you've made it your home
There are so many things I love about you;
I love the way you make me feel
Like a giant and a mouse at the same time,
I love the fact that everyone else
Thinks that winning you over is like wining the Olympics,
I love the way you smell like a flower
Plucked right out of a New York City dumpster
I love the rainbow of bruises you leave on me
To remind me of you while I'm gone,
I love the way you keep insisting that I'm a late bloomer
And that I'll get the hang of it eventually,
I love the scratchy, potato sack clothes
You make me wear in your presence
I love the way I feel like a weather balloon
When I stand next to all your other suitors,
I love the way you take my breath away
Over and over and over again,
I just love you so much
So why don't you love me?
