The Queen's Mind
Like a queen on a throne she wandered, like a queen on a throne she waved.
But on it’s own, her mind did falter, never to be saved.
Like a giant she did stand- tall, mighty, and big.
But fragile was her mind, snapping like a twig.
Like flowers in the spring she grew, like the colors she did shine.
Yet farther and farther she roamed, running out of time.
Like a bee she did her job, like a Dane she was loyal.
But her mind was plotting something sinister- never to be foiled.
Hand to pencil, pencil to paper, tears splashing on the page.
She blew her kisses, shared her thanks, and quickly left the stage.
Like a queen on a throne she wandered, like a queen on a throne she waved.
Although on it’s own, her mind did falter, it could have been saved.
