Shadow
I watched you linger,
and then melted into the sidewalk.
I stayed by your side,
the faithful sidekick,
ignored.
A door slams in my face,
I cannot follow where you've gone,
until suddenly,
a light turns on,
and my face is next to yours.
Still you pretend,
you don't know I'm watching,
but we both know,
we can't escape.
You and I,
forever one,
seperated only in darkness.
And you can't feed off nightmares,
so I'll be waiting,
your companion forever,
till death do us part.
