Never
You are the world to me,
A special friend,
One who’d make me laugh, smile, or even weep.
Even though college is around the corner,
And our paths spilt, you to that world and I to another,
I will never forget you.
You are the key to my writings,
My inspiration.
You, who has been pushed away by my parents,
Oh sweet and innocence childhood, the source to my imagination,
Will you forget me?
As I transcend to adulthood,
Will you remain with me?
My fingers yearn to write,
The one thing my parents condemn.
I must face the scientific life, the dull life
That has been shielded from the creativity of the olden days.
A life of calculations, a life of concreteness,
A life void of dreaming, imagination,
Everything spiritual.
I fear that I will become lost.
I fear that I will lose my way.
I fear that I will forget you,
Even though I vow not to.
