Words on the Wall
There are words written on the wall
I used to know them, I wrote them all
Now I don't know what they say
They don't mean a thing anyway
They're just scribbles written in the past
I never thought that they would last
I never thought that they would hurt
Every time I looked at those words
I know I wrote them for a reason
In a different day, a different season
But I can't remember just what for
Those written words were written for
To love and cherish, probably
But now they sit so uselessly
