Nostalgia
Nostalgia
Like shards of glass
On the pavement
I am dragged through
Over and over
Jabbing me from all sides
Puncturing my skin
The inner pain
Bleeds out
Tears slide down my cheek
They fall into my wounds
More pain
My eyes blur
Visions of my past
Life was so good then
And it kills me that I can’t go back
I look at the wounds
I watch them disappear
The process is complete
I breathe
The pain is gone
I have healed
I pick myself up off the pavement
And walk away
