Bad Kid

I turned out to be a bad kid
But you made me
This way
Growing up questioning if I’m mentally okay
But that’s not the bad
The yelling,
The hitting,
The hurt
Is what made me sad
Seeing a husband
Treat his family as if they were dead
And a wife finding him in another bed
So she tried to fix it
But he’d rather end up in jail
Then fix the family he broke
So all I do is lay here
Wondering if my life is just a joke
