Crushing On Pain
I can’t believe I’m falling for you
Like I have no common sense
I never thought that once again at the sight of you
I get tense
But, hey, go ahead
There’ s no point in trying to pretend like you don’t like her
She’s one of my best friends for life
But I’m still the one who ended up getting hurt
Should I have said something?
Should I have told you what was going in inside of my head?
Should I have ignored everything?
Now I feel numb inside, almost dead
I pretend I’m all right
Like I’m fine
But nothing has been cheering me up even when my friend’s try
But you can’t recognize the signs
I fake a smile, a laugh
So you don’t see me cry, so you don’t see me broken free
But I feel so upset but you can’t hear my screams
Because everything has collapsed- collapsed here in my lap
You don’t look in between the lines
Where the color fades from grey
It doesn’t matter what you do now
It’s what you didn’t do; it’s what you didn’t say
Someone said a broken heart
Could fix its self and make you stronger
I love you, but I hate you
But I still want you to stay here a little while longer
It’s not fair, it’s not right
Nothing could ever be all right
Where’s her dignity?
You can’t get that automatically
I wish you could tell me what to do
Tell me what to say
If you knew the truth
Would you be okay?
I’d cover everything up to see you smile
If you knew you would walk away
So I’ll keep my thoughts and feelings to myself
Because I won’t let you walk away
And I would keep it all a secret forever
If that made you happy
I don’t want to see you get hurt
She is lucky
I’d cover everything up to see you smile
If you knew, you would walk away
So I’ll keep my thoughts and my feelings to myself
Because I won’t let you walk away
