I Fell in Blue
A gel pen the color of blue
Its mix of ink and fluid
Stains my arms, smudges words
That I hope someday get heard
To hear my tale of love lost
A writer's most ordinary thought
But conceivable grief feels like it's new
Whenever I catch the sight of you
My silly crush must be a game
Of love that you ignore and play
When you talk to other angels of white
My heart starts to crack like ice
Now I won't have the irises dew
Or see the ocean's deep hue
That's the reflection of your eyes
Imitating those clear blue skies
But maybe I never fell for you
Maybe all I did was fall in blue
