Caught Love
You told me you loved me today.
What is love?
It cannot be the butterflies in your stomach when you talk to me.
It cannot be the quick beating of your heart when we touch.
It cannot be the urge you have to kiss me.
Love is like an illness.
All those are symptoms.
Love is catchy.
Similar to a forest fire,
Our love is like an ocean.
Covering most of the world,
With such depth and magnitude it cannot be accurately measured by humanity.
With such power, it pulls me in,
With such gentleness it caresses me.
Ignoring who I was and embracing only who I am,
Nothing makes sense but all is understood.
I close my eyes, and let you carry me away into the horizon.
Whatever love is, I think I’ve caught it.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.
