I put on a smile
Even when things are bad
To hide the pain I’ve had inside
When I’m alone I cry
When I’m with people I lie
I tell them everything’s fine
All I want is for someone to care
I wish someone was there
I’m tired of hiding who I’m meant to be
I just wanna show the real me
People deserve to know
They deserve to know that
I’m the girl who’s quiet
The girl who wants a friend
I’m the one that gives up in the end
I wish I could be like other people
I don’t wanna be afraid anymore
The real me is the shy girl
