Favorite Quote:
"Be my friend, so we don't have to be enemies."

I will hold you in my hand,
Like a fallen rain drop.
'Try and catch me if you can.'
'You are mine alone.'

Water dripping down my arm,
You will not escape me.
Catch you 'fore you come to harm,
Still you run away.

You wish to be free of me?
Water you are foolish.
I have done no harm to thee,
Only kept you safe.

I don't see why you are sad,
You have me to be with.
'In your hands I’m iron clad.
Love me? Set me free!'

The author's comments:
This is about an over-protective mother/father/lover figure holding on so tight to their beloved that the two become more distant. People need their space sometimes, and this poem was meant to express that. We're not always as helpless as some people thing... sometimes we're more so.
