Wasting Away in Traffic
Sitting
That’s all I can do.
Listening to music, yea, I guess.
But there’s no song I like on the radio, and my only CD’s scratched.
Thinking
Of how much I could be doing
If only this traffic was not.
Waiting to go home. To my kids. To my family.
This is why I get home so late
I’m here. On this busy road, with all of the other businesspeople
Waiting to go home.
