Endless Journey
He's only a little boy,
Being tossed from home to home.
Not experiencing childhood joy,
Destined to endlessly roam.
He believes there's no love for him,
Depression is his only friend.
Even when going to sleep,
He continues to weep.
Since a newborn infant,
Placed in foster care.
The shoes on his feet,
Are his one and only pair.
He tries to make it through the dark,
But he's only a little fish.
While the world's a shark.
No one acknowledges the child.
They all assume he's fine,
Just because he smiled.
His smile doesn't mean he's okay,
It just means he's strong enough.
To believe it will all go away.
