The tempest within

A tempest roared inside
As I struggled to write
In words I couldn't confide
For they weren't enough to fight
The Doubts that swelled
In the sea so black
Ignorance had to be shed
Ignorance, I'd love to lack
"Bow before the wave!
Bend to its will
and you will be saved
Or face the tranquil!"
I'd set out with my goal
And my goal I'd achieve
I'd then shout and soar
Soar over the mighty sea
