The Days
A day goes by,
then another does too.
You can’t keep track,
but do you really care?
Another day flies by,
and you say no and no again.
But then,
You remember what happens,
you loose count of everything,
and everyone,
don’t realize the importance of a loved one.
The light burns out,
it becomes so dark.
Your mind goes blank
and you remember the no’s.
Then you see flowers
of all sorts and kinds,
lying there as still as the ground.
It’s over,
and you never want to say no,
because, the light may go out again.
