Ancient Loss
Sand golden in the sun,
The dessert so hot many don't come,
Cities built by the river,
The Nile so glorious it's hardly a sliver.
Pyramids host Kings of old,
Keeping them safe from robbers and cold,
Dynasties passed from Father to Son,
Dynasties end by the deaths of the Sun.
Moonlight glints off ancient sand,
The cities and temples so bold and so grand,
Wonders lie in each untouched corner,
Many may find a time lost mourner.
