The strength in me

All these years I been pushed around
By people bigger than me,
But now I’m glad that I found
The strength that I needed to see.
Now that I know what I can do,
Here what I say:
From now and on,
I’m free to do it my own way.
Now I have the courage.
I can speak up for my self.
I don’t have to wait up on
Anybody else.
I need to live my own life
The way that I want it to.
Now that there is nobody around
To tell me what to do.
I can have the colors of the rainbow,
If I wanted them.
I don’t mind what they say,
Because I know that I can.
