Mindless
I’m writing to tell you that I’ve lost my mind.
I felt it drop and I left it behind.
I didn’t slow down, I didn’t look back,
I just shrugged my shoulders and then took a nap.
And nothing has changed, I’m telling you.
Maybe I do things most others don’t do.
Maybe I stood and sung me a song,
maybe I didn’t care to belong.
Maybe I ran when walking was fine,
maybe I lost complete sense of time.
But I am happy, I feel just the same;
Life is much brighter without that old brain.
The lack of my thoughts leaves room for some beauty
and I appreciate more all the comes to me.
I can smile so big, I promise, it’s true
because for once in my life I’m not thinking of you.
