Sick.
Give me a hacking cough,
or the worst case of the flu.
Make me green, turn me purple,
change me yellow or even blue.
Give me some strange hormones
that make me go insane.
Stuff my nose so I can’t breathe,
and headache I can’t tame.
Won’t you diagnose me?
And make it tangible.
Something that I can name,
but is out of my control.
I’m begging you to make me ill,
I’m almost on my knees.
Asking, pleading for you to just
give me a disease.
