Under Selection
I look at my reflection
There is always a selection
Of who is beautiful
Or who is distasteful
Looking and staring
Wondering what I am
Who I am
Were I stand
Looking for my future
But holding on to the past
I hope this feeling doesn't last
Hearing what I am
And who I am
And were I stand
Hearing distasteful words proceed from ones
Feeling down
Feeling worthless
Feeling darkness
But My heart is pure
And I am ready
Training for more
Training for words that mean nothing but ash
No one can slash
I not any one's pet nor am I their slave
I am brave
I am I me
You will see
I my not be beautiful, or thin as a stick
But if I would have to pick
I would want to be me
And only me
Because I am unique
No madder what they my think
