Heartbroken
You stole my heart
Made it yours, made it right.
You took it away into the night,
Took it fast, and out of sight.
I trusted it to you,
I let your gentle hands hold it tight.
You were my love, me your shining knight,
Or so it was until that fateful night...
It was awful, what you did.
You destroyed my heart,
Tore it apart.
You left me with it, in each hand a part.
I was broken, dejected,
Cast away by the love of my life.
Now my thoughts linger on the edge of a knife.
Thank you.
For protecting my precious heart.
Thank you.
For sticking with me to the very end.
Thank you.
For ruining everything.
