You Don't Know Me
You don't know me
You look at me and see an average teenage girl living in this insane world full of violence and terror.
I stand from outside the crowd.
I watch as you forget about me. I try for you. I work hard.
But wait, you don’t seem to care.
I see inside of you.
I see what you can do.
No one can make me feel the way you make me feel.
Once you start to love, you start to live.
You act like you own me.
Newsflash, you don’t.
I don’t believe in falling in love at a young age.
If you think I’m wrong, then show me.
But for now, I will just be me.
So here I am. But, where are you?
