Love Bemoaned
If I could be loved,
That would be… nice.
My passions are shoved,
Through fire and ice.
Why so far from me?
Why so misaligned?
I wish, if only, we’d see,
With clarity, the other’s mind.
I try so hard, and fail likewise,
Who would continue like this?
Tell me, looking into my eyes,
That we could find loving bliss.
You can’t. I’ve failed the test.
Now, off to rest. Sweet rest.
Repose alone, awake alone.
Bemoan, bemoan.
