despreation
Desperation
Hung in the air
Like the howling wind
Sinking into our cold skin
And you whisper gently
In my ear
No don’t do it
I love too much
I have so much care
I look at you frantically
Then look away
I start to close my eyes
To see the broken butterflies
But then I stay
Even though my heart is frayed
At the edges
Love shines through you
Like a radiant fire
Repairing edges
That was so blue
Even though the night seeps in my skin
I still return to see your face again
And turn away from divide that binds
